- Technology & Functioning Principle |
- All CHALLENGER
components (display, touch-screen, joystick, keyboard......) are
based on the high-value ignition protection class of INTRINSIC
SAFETY, and each CHALLENGER component is individually tested and
certified (ignition protection class II 2G EEx ib IIC T4).
- This product
design makes it possible to install any CHALLENGER components
in any housing in Ex Zone 1/Zone 2 – the housing does not
need an Ex authorisation. Hence all CHALLENGER components are
suitable for the control rooms/control decks on oil platforms,
for viewing tank loading and gas stations and also as an identification
in ex-endangered surroundings.
- Thanks to
the ASIF electronics, the CHALLENGER functioning principle is
so simple that installation in only 4 working steps is both feasible
and economical. The installation of cameras, barcode scanners
and other ex-protected items poses no problems.
