CHALLENGER - Technology & Functioning Principle

  1. All CHALLENGER components (display, touch-screen, joystick, keyboard......) are based on the high-value ignition protection class of INTRINSIC SAFETY, and each CHALLENGER component is individually tested and certified (ignition protection class II 2G EEx ib IIC T4).

  2. This product design makes it possible to install any CHALLENGER components in any housing in Ex Zone 1/Zone 2 – the housing does not need an Ex authorisation. Hence all CHALLENGER components are suitable for the control rooms/control decks on oil platforms, for viewing tank loading and gas stations and also as an identification in ex-endangered surroundings.

  3. Thanks to the ASIF electronics, the CHALLENGER functioning principle is so simple that installation in only 4 working steps is both feasible and economical. The installation of cameras, barcode scanners and other ex-protected items poses no problems.
